Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Rooming patients/vital signs
Exam room preparation, stocking and cleaning
Scribe: Document patient visit in the EMR, assist with orders, prescriptions, etc
Schedule and prep charts using an electronic medical records (EMR)
Specimen collection
Assist providers with procedures and in-office injections
Assist providers with medication refills
Communicate patients' medical questions to the provider
Patient calls and messages
Communicate well and work together in a team approach to patient care
Scheduling patients for surgery
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Scheduling Coordinator
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
New patient paperwork , preparing new patient medical charts, and verifying insurance information.
Answering telephones and emails as well as common questions about surgical times, appointments, and instructions.
Maintaining the office supplies/inventory for in office procedures. Preparing the appropriate supplies and equipment such as ultrasound and/or fluoroscopy.
Scheduling patients' appointments and surgeries, patient reminders
Preparing supplies/equipment for in-office procedures.
Timely scheduling, urgent and add-on procedures/surgeries.
Understanding surgical procedures, such as the necessary time a surgery takes and the necessary supplies, in order to properly maintain the schedule.
Providing patients with pre and post-operative instructions.
Data entry
Ensuring all cases are scheduled in a timely manner in accordance with the Physician or Surgeon's directions.
Scheduling Coordinator Requirements:
A High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous medical office experience preferred.
Good computer, telephone, and typing skills.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and medical coding.
Ability to work independently with supervision as needed
